video 6) FEELING IS THE SECRET — Neville Goddard on Manifestation and Emotional Healing

If you have spent years carrying rejection, fear, grief, or the belief that you are not enough, this message is for you. Your pain is real. But must it become the permanent definition of your identity? Neville Goddard’s Feeling Is the Secret invites us to examine the inner state we keep returning to. Today we will hear Neville’s central teachings, explain them plainly, and connect them to emotional healing and manifestation. We will not turn his philosophy into a promise of instant results, and we will never suggest that people caused the harm done to them.

ONE — WHAT FEELING MEANS

Neville wrote in chapter one: “Feeling is the one and only medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious.” In his spiritual framework, the conscious mind chooses an idea, while the subconscious receives what is inwardly accepted. That is why repeating “I am worthy” while inwardly identifying as worthless is different from gradually allowing worthiness to feel natural. He is not asking you to manufacture excitement. He is asking you to consider what you actually accept about yourself when no one is listening.

HEALING EXPLANATION

A person who was repeatedly criticized may hear that criticism inside long after the critic is gone. The sentence “I am not good enough” can begin to feel like a fact. Healing involves recognizing that this learned voice is not the whole truth about a human being. In Neville’s language, you practice occupying another state: someone who is worthy of respect, someone capable of growth, someone no longer defined solely by an injury. That inner practice can accompany therapy, community, boundaries, and practical help; it does not replace them.

TWO — THE CHANGE OF FEELING

Neville wrote: “A change of feeling is a change of destiny.” That is a bold metaphysical claim, not an experimentally established law. To understand what he meant, compare wanting to be confident with inwardly experiencing yourself as capable of handling the next step. Wanting keeps pointing to a future you do not have. Assuming begins to make the desired identity familiar now. For manifestation in Neville’s terms, the aim is not to beg life to change; it is to accept the feeling of the desired condition already fulfilled.

EXAMPLE — FROM FEAR TO POSSIBILITY

Imagine someone applying for work after repeated rejection. They can acknowledge the rejections and still prepare carefully, send applications, and ask for help. But before doing those things, they may imagine receiving a welcome message and feeling calm satisfaction. The imagination exercise does not guarantee an offer. Its purpose in Neville’s teaching is to move from the identity “nothing ever works for me” into the state of someone for whom a good outcome feels possible and natural.

THREE — WHY FORCE IS NOT THE METHOD

In the prayer chapter Neville wrote: “Prayer is the art of yielding to the wish and not the forcing of the wish.” Hear that word: yielding. Many people turn spiritual practice into another struggle. They repeat words anxiously, inspect every thought, and fear they have ruined everything by feeling sad. But Neville emphasized relaxation and receptivity. You do not need to punish yourself for an unwanted thought. If you are hurting, acknowledge the feeling, care for yourself, and return gently to the state you wish to cultivate.

FOUR — SLEEP

Neville called sleep “the door into heaven.” In chapter two he emphasized the drowsy period before sleep. He advised entering sleep with the feeling that the desire has been fulfilled. Think of one brief scene that implies your wish is accomplished. Hear someone congratulate you, or experience the quiet relief of a burden lifted. Do not endlessly replay how the problem will be solved. In his method, you occupy the end. If you struggle with sleep, do not turn this into pressure or a nightly test. Rest itself matters.

FIVE — PRAYER AND RECEPTION

Neville wrote: “Prayer is not so much what you ask for, as how you prepare for its reception.” He interpreted prayer as inwardly receiving rather than pleading from absence. Imagine desiring peace after years of turmoil. Instead of repeating how little peace you have, spend a few moments feeling how a peaceful person might breathe, speak, and respond. Then return to ordinary life and take the steps that support peace: boundaries, safe relationships, professional care when needed, and thoughtful decisions. Inner practice and practical action can coexist.

SIX — ENTER THE SPIRIT

The final chapter turns toward the identity you inhabit. Neville taught that you must enter the spirit of the desired state. It is not enough to admire an image of the life you want while secretly insisting you can never live it. Ask: Who am I when this change feels natural? What would I no longer say about myself? What would I do differently today? Healing does not mean erasing memory. It means refusing to let old pain be the only voice with authority over your future.

GUIDED PRACTICE — FEEL THE WISH FULFILLED

If you are safe and comfortable, relax your shoulders. Take a gentle breath. Choose one desire: perhaps emotional peace, a meaningful opportunity, confidence, or freedom from an old identity. Imagine one simple scene that would occur after that desire was fulfilled. Enter it in the first person. Hear the words. Notice the room. Feel the ordinary satisfaction of knowing. Do not force excitement. [PAUSE 8 SECONDS] Now ask what one caring, practical step you can take from this new perspective. [PAUSE 5 SECONDS] Return to the present. Neville’s practice is to revisit the fulfilled state until it feels natural.
